Lincoln County, Missouri continues to see a high number of new COVID-19 cases daily. We are currently adding an average of 48 COVID-19 cases per day in Lincoln County.

45% of active cases are in the ages 0-18. At this time last year, 18% of active cases were in the ages of 0-18. This age group makes up 27% of the total population in Lincoln County. The increase in disease burden on children is concerning. LCHD reminds the community that the Delta variant is twice as transmissible as the variant that was spreading last year.

With the assistance of the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services, a free COVID-19 testing site has been added to Lincoln County for the next 3 Wednesdays.

The Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services (DHSS) issued a hotspot advisory yesterday for Lincoln, Warren, and surrounding areas.

Cases in Lincoln and Warren counties are also rising with 247 and 149 respectively in the past week compared to 186 and 135 respectively the prior week. Hospitals in the region are seeing resource strain from dramatically increased numbers of COVID-19 patients and hospitalizations. As a result, several hospitals in the region are at or near capacity including those in the St. Louis Region where many individuals from this area seek care.
