2025 Year in Review

Introductions

2025 was a busy year for the Lincoln County Health Department. We’re happy to present our 2025 Year in Review. This year’s review is especially meaningful as we approach a significant milestone—60 years of service to Lincoln County in 2026.

In 2025, we continued to advance our mission of protecting health, preventing disease, and promoting wellness for all residents. Public Health is often most visible during times of crisis, but much of our work happens quietly and consistently through inspections, education, surveillance, outreach, and partnerships that strengthen the foundation of community well-being.

Highlights from 2025 include:

  • Launching our new and improved Community Resource Guide

  • Starting our Wellness Walkers group in partnership with the Lincoln County Ambulance District

  • Emergency response efforts to provide tetanus vaccines to residents impacted by flooding in Elsberry

  • Enhanced community engagement, with new outreach events, partnerships, and health education efforts

Public health is truly a team effort. We are grateful for the collaboration of local health systems, schools, first responders, nonprofit organizations, local government, and the many community members who work alongside us every day. We couldn‘t do this work without you.

As we reflect on the past year and look toward the future, we’re proud of how far we’ve come and energized by what lies ahead.
