WEEKLY COVID-19 UPDATE 10/14/2021
Lincoln County, Missouri continues to see a high number of new COVID-19 cases daily, though we are starting to trend downward. There are currently about 36 cases added per day. In the beginning of September, this number was 44.
In June, we added about 99 cases
In July we added about 472 cases
In August we added about 951 cases
In September, we added about 1,279 cases.
DHSS is sponsoring a free testing site on Wednesdays in Winfield (County Market parking lot) throughout the month of October. Hours are 10 a.m. until 6 p.m.

The 7-day PCR positivity rate is 8.7%, at this time last week it was 7.8%. At it’s highest, this number was 15.5%. Cases per 100,000 in Lincoln County are at 281, up from 254 last week. When we started the month of August, this number was 264. In order to be considered a community with low transmission, this number should be less than 10. Our number of active cases (individuals who are in isolation for COVID-19 infection) is at 182. Last week this number was at 205 and when we started the month of September, this number was at 342.
Since the beginning of the pandemic, there have been 86 deaths attributed to COVID-19 in Lincoln County. There have been 13 deaths added to our count since the beginning of September. Our thoughts and prayers go out to each family affected.
