8/26/2021 COVID-19 Weekly Update
Lincoln County remains in the “high transmission” category according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). There is an average of 39 cases being added per day in Lincoln County. From June 2021 until mid-August, about 8% of cases reported to the Lincoln County Health Department were vaccine breakthrough cases.
Free testing continues in Warrenton through the state of Missouri on Fridays from 11 a.m. until 7 p.m. The address is 3920 North Highway 47/@ corner of Isabella in Warrenton MO 63383.
According to the St. Louis Metropolitan Task Force, there are 542 individuals hospitalized due to COVID-19 and 11 pediatric hospitalizations due to COVID-19. 3 of those pediatric hospitalizations are in the intensive care until (ICU).
Our 7-day positivity rate has increased to 15.2% from 12.5% last week. Cases per 100,000 in Lincoln County are at 295, down from 332 last week. In order to be considered a community with low transmission, this number should be less than 10. Our active cases (individuals who are in isolation for COVID-19 infection) has increased to 342. Last week this number was at 302 and when we started the month of August, this number was at 192.
The percent of the Lincoln County population that has completed vaccination is 29.2%. The state average is 44.4%.
We have evening vaccine clinic appointments available in September. Our evening clinics run until 7 p.m. The dates are:
