Instructions for using the garden equipment

LARGE TILLER

Before use:

  • Check the oil using the cap/dipstick on the top of the engine. If the engine needs oil, please only add the oil labeled for the tiller. Only add as much oil as is needed according to the dipstick. Adding too much oil can cause engine failure.

  • Check the gas. If gas is needed, add gas only from the container labeled for the tiller.

  • Check the pins on the wheels. They must be pinned properly for the machine to propel itself.

  • Either move the tiller to the area to be tilled (depending on the wheel pin placement), or start the tiller to move (see next step).

To start:

  • Move the choke all the way to the left.

  • Move the throttle to the “Rabbit.”

  • Pull on the pull start with a quick, smooth motion. This may take several times.

To use:

  • Position the tines at the beginning of the area to till and drop them down to the ground.

To stop:

  • Move the throttle to the “Turtle.”
