Gateway Volunteer Network Active Shooter & Stop the Bleed Training for MRC Volunteers

  • St. Louis County Department of Public Health Community Room 6121 North Hanley Road Berkeley, MO, 63134 United States (map)

Whether at home, at work, or out in the community, accidents and injuries can occur without warning. This training will give attendees the tools and the confidence to prepare for and respond to incidents they observe.

The Active Shooter portion will provide information on how to protect oursevles and those around us during a violent situation. Stop the Bleed will give attendees the tools to counteract a leading cause of death due to injuries: blood loss. Attendees will leave the training ready to take action and save lives!

Instruction will be provided by two local experts who have generously given their time to this important cause:

Dr. Vicki Moran, Assistant Professor of Nursing at the Saint Louis University School of Nursing

Det. Matt Taylor, Saint Louis County Police Department - former SWAT officer, and currently the Complex Coordinated Terrorist Attack training coordinator with the St. Louis Fusion Center
